Some Important Concepts of Digital Imaging and Imaging Document

Well, what you see is definitely not digital. It is the analog version of the digital image. There is lot to understand as well definitely, as far as this concept is concerned. A digital image is the electronic snapshot of the scene and in fact, it is mapped in grid format as dots and picture elements, which are determined in pixel. Pixel stands for the picture element and each pixel is assigned a total value. This tonal value is black, white, gray or it can be any color.
If you have printed any image on computer then you must have the idea that these are the only color options. These set of pixel values is stored as a sequence of binary code, which is a series of zeros and ones. These are being represented as the mathematical representation and this mathematical representation is being stored in the memory. It can be processed anytime using the computer to produce the digital image but one should keep in mind that what we see is the analog version of this digital image.
The next thing to know is the resolution and it is quite important to understand the real meaning of the resolution. Actually, by resolution, we mean how we can distinguish fine spatial details and this is important. Actually, the resolution is being measured in two types of units, which are the dots per inch or the pixels per inch and it is quite a good indicator of the digital imaging power. Generally, if the processed digital image is good in resolution then it will definitely be termed as more powerful and more proper digital image.
As far as the dimensions are concerned, they are measured in pixel and the best unit for measuring the dimension is the dpi. As far as the bit depth is concerned, there is no doubt at all that it determines the total number of bits that are being used to define each pixel. As far as the pixel dimensions are concerned, they are being measured by multiplying the width as well as the height with the dip and the entire digital camera comes with the known pixel dimension. As far as the depth in digital imaging and imaging document is concerned, the total number of bits that are being used to define each pixel is determining it. Total numbers of tones are definitely determined by the depth. One can have the bifocal image as well as the grayscale image.
